From Science to Art

Jamie Bonfiglio is a self-taught visual artist and muralist whose work is characterized by its vivid colors, bold brushstrokes, and dynamic compositions. Born in New York City and raised in Mobile, AL, Jamie developed a passion for art at a young age. But her path went in a different direction. 

After earning a Biology degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, then moving to San Diego where she would pursue a Master's in Forensic Science, Jamie's life appeared to be headed towards a world of scientific investigation. Stress, however, encouraged her to walk into Blick art store one day looking for an outlet and relief. A few paint tubes, canvases and brushes later, Jamie's naturally artistic spark was set ablaze. From never having painted before, to covering 30ft walls with portraits and story-telling, Jamie's work has found a home with art collectors all over the world.
